Saving Pets One at a Time (S.P.O.T.) was created to address numerous animal concerns in our county, most notably the lack of an effective humane society that operates on humane principles. We foster abandoned dogs until we can place them in loving homes. All of our animals are spayed or neutered to help curb pet overpopulation. We offer free dog and cat food to low-income families who might otherwise have difficulty feeding pets. Since we began our effort in 2009, SPOT has rescued over 500 wonderful dogs! —nearly all of whom otherwise would have been euthanized as unwanted pets. And we have been responsible for getting well over 1000 animals spayed or neutered! We are making a significant positive impact on the pet overpopulation/euthanization problem in our community.
