Sacred Geometry and the Fibonacci Sequence

Sacred geometry is just what the name implies: the study of holy shapes. It is a system of examining the mathematical ratios and proportions of natural phenomena in an effort to understand the "blueprint" of Creation, or God's plan according to which the universe seems to have been designed and built.

Sacred geometry is a huge area of study about which numerous whole books have been written, and it is directly relevant and useful to all life as we know it. It is one of the most satisfying and life-affirming (and even awe-inspiring) methods of relating to the world that I have ever encountered, and I cannot recommend strongly enough that you investigate for yourself. please click here for links to Wikipedia articles: Flower of Life, Sacred Geometry

The Fibonacci Sequence

One of my favorite ways to incorporate sacred numbers into my work is through the use of the Fibonacci Sequence. This is a series of numbers first published in the West by the 13th century mathematician, Leonardo Fibonacci. In a hypothetical look at a population of rabbits, Fibonacci noted a mathematical pattern. These numbers are seen in the phyllotaxis of spirals in plant growth.
